Jio Network Issue: Fire at data centre causes service disruption in Mumbai, Jio says 'technical issue resolved'

According to Downdetector, a service that tracks online outages, there has been a noticeable disruption in both mobile and fiber internet services provided by Reliance Jio. The data shows that 68% of users have reported problems with their mobile network. Additionally, 37% of users have highlighted issues with mobile internet, while 14% have reported problems related to JioFiber connectivity.

As per Reuters report quoting sources, a fire at a Reliance Jio data centre led to a nationwide network outage on Tuesday. "The fire has been contained, and the servers are expected to resume operations shortly," the source told Reuters.

Issue resolved, says Jio

In an official statement, Reliance Jio said that the outage happened due to technical reason and the issue has been resolved. "This morning, some Jio customers in Mumbai faced problems in availing seamless services on account of minor technical issues. The same have been resolved, and seamless services of Jio have been fully restored. We regret the inconvenience to our subscribers," Reliance Jio spokesperson said in a statement.
