Jharkhand rape case: Writing only on social media and defaming whole country is not good choice, says Women council head to US journalist

"Did you ever report the incident to Police? If not than you are totally an irresponsible person. Writing only on social media and defaming whole country is not good choice," said Rekha Sharma.
Rekha Sharma was responding to a journalist who narrated his experience of visiting India.
"The level of sexual aggression I witnessed while living in India for several years was unlike anywhere else I have ever been. Once a total stranger, a British woman, asked to sleep in my bed and pretend to be my girlfriend on a train ride because a man walking by in the hall had licked her foot and she felt unsafe," said David Josef Volodzko on social media platform X.
Volodzko further said that he never met a female traveler who had not been groped or assaulted or worse, even if they had only been in country for mere days.
Volodzko shared his experience in response to the recent Jharkhand rape case.
Three persons who were arrested in connection with the gang rape of a Spanish tourist in Jharkhand's Dumka district were produced before a court on Sunday. The woman from Spain was allegedly gang-raped at Kurumahat in Hansdiha police station area, around 300 km from the state capital Ranchi, on Friday night when she was spending the night in a tent along with her husband, police said.
Dumka's Deputy Commissioner A Dodde said, "The embassy and chief secretary have been informed. The couple are under protection here."
