Earlier, BJP MLA CP Singh brandished bundles of currency notes inside the Jharkhand assembly.
BJP had also called for a Jharkhand bandh on Tuesday and at several places ABVP and BJP student wing protesters clashed with the police. They were demonstrating against the police action on protesting students on Monday.
In his speech in the assembly, Soren attacked BJP, accusing them of instigating students. "Our aim is to move forward in line with the hopes and aspirations of my young companions of Jharkhand, and we will keep progressing. BJP will continue with its traditional work - of lying, deceit and conspiracies. BJP is trying to deceive people in the guise of students. We are sincere with the demands of the students and are working on reforms," Soren said.
The student protest continued on Tuesday at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi. CJP's Abhijeet Dipke has backed the protesting students.
