Jharkhand CM announces cancellation of 14th JPSC civil services exam in Assembly

New Delhi: Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren announced in the assembly on Tuesday that the 14th JPSC Civil Services exam would be cancelled. He assured that two other JPSC exams will also be cancelled. He said the government will investigate all examinations conducted by TDPL. Cancellation of the 14th JPSC examination was one of the major demands of the protesting students.

Earlier, BJP MLA CP Singh brandished bundles of currency notes inside the Jharkhand assembly.

BJP had also called for a Jharkhand bandh on Tuesday and at several places ABVP and BJP student wing protesters clashed with the police. They were demonstrating against the police action on protesting students on Monday.


In his speech in the assembly, Soren attacked BJP, accusing them of instigating students. "Our aim is to move forward in line with the hopes and aspirations of my young companions of Jharkhand, and we will keep progressing. BJP will continue with its traditional work - of lying, deceit and conspiracies. BJP is trying to deceive people in the guise of students. We are sincere with the demands of the students and are working on reforms," Soren said.

The student protest continued on Tuesday at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi. CJP's Abhijeet Dipke has backed the protesting students.
