Eleven wagons of a coal freight train derailed in Palamu, with no injuries reported.
No injuries were reported in the incident that took place near Sabvana village between Garhwa Road and Sigsigi railway stations on the Barkakana-Sonnagar section of the East Central Railway division.

Traffic Inspector at Daltonganj station, Anil Tiwary, said the freight train was transporting coal from Barkakana to Sonnagar when the incident took place.
"Upon receiving information about the derailment, the railway's relief and rescue team reached the site. Efforts were underway to remove the damaged wagons, repair the track and restore operations as soon as possible," the official said.

The railway administration has launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident. It will be clear only after the probe is completed, he added.
