The April session for JEE (Main) 2021, scheduled for 27th, 28th & 30th April, has been postponed.

Revised dates for the same will be announced later. New dates will be notified at least 15 days prior to the exam, said the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The first two sessions were completed in February and March.

The decision comes close on the heels of the postponement of the CBSE board exams 2021 for Class 12 by the Education Ministry. Following that call, there were rising demands for postponement of the JEE-Mains April session.

"Given the current #covid19 situation, I have advised @DG_NTA to postpone the JEE (Main) – 2021 April Session. I would like to reiterate that safety of our students & their academic career are @EduMinOfIndia's and my prime concerns right now," Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' tweeted.
