Jammu observes bandh against property tax

The businesses remained closed during the day-long strike and the work in the J&K High Court and other subordinate courts remained suspended as lawyers of the Jammu chapter of the High Court Bar Association also supported the strike call.

The Jammu region on Saturday observed a symbolic shutdown against J&K administration's decision to impose property tax in the Union Territory from April this year.

The businesses remained closed during the day-long strike and the work in the J&K High Court and other subordinate courts remained suspended as lawyers of the Jammu chapter of the High Court Bar Association also supported the strike call.

The strike call was given by the Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries and supported by the Yuva Rajput Sabha.
