In an unusual turn of events, a theft has stirred the Jaipur police into action. As per a TOI report, the incident relates to a pair of shoes belonging to the son of a senior judge, valued at Rs 10,000, which were stolen from a local temple.

The judge, who holds a prominent position as a presiding officer of a special court, lodged a complaint leading to the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) at Manak Chowk police station.

The FIR, registered under IPC Section 379 (Theft), was initiated by the judge's complaint, revealing that his son had visited the Shree Brij Nidhi Ji Temple on August 20 to attend a family gathering. The shoes, identified as Reebok shoes of size 11, were left by the judge's son near the temple stairs around 8pm. However, upon leaving the temple at 10pm, he discovered that his valuable footwear had gone missing.

The complaint not only included a description of the stolen shoes but also enclosed a photograph of the same. In response to inquiries about their strategy for recovering the stolen pair, a senior police official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, outlined their plan. They intend to kickstart the investigation by scrutinizing the temple's CCTV footage. Additionally, they will delve into records pertaining to individuals previously involved in footwear theft activities.

"Our investigative teams will meticulously review the footage obtained from the temple's surveillance cameras to identify the perpetrator responsible for the theft and their subsequent escape," the official elaborated.
