Jaipur Metro phase 2 begins: 41-km corridor to transform city’s connectivity, cover 36 stations
Jaipur has begun construction of Metro Phase 2, marking a major expansion of the city’s public transport network. The ₹13,370-crore project will create a 41-kilometre corridor with 36 stations, connecting Prahladpura in Sitapura to Todi Mod. The expanded network will link key locations including Jaipur International Airport, railway stations, hospitals, government offices, educational institutions and the Sitapura Industrial Area. With the project expected to significantly increase daily ridership and ease traffic congestion, Jaipur is preparing for a major transformation in urban mobility.
