Iranian delegation arrives in Pakistan for high-stakes talks with US amid deep mistrust

High-level talks between Iran and the United States are underway in Islamabad as efforts intensify to stabilise a fragile ceasefire in the Middle East. The Iranian 70 member delegation, led by Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf and Abbas Araghchi, has set key preconditions, including sanctions relief and a ceasefire in Lebanon. The US, represented by J. D. Vance has warned against bad-faith negotiations.
