To accelerate an effective damage assessment, IMCT members will be divided into two groups for visiting the relevant affected districts.
An Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) from Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) reached Guwahati as a part of their scheduled field visit to Assam from May 26 to May 29 for damage assessment due to flood and landslide.

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) stated IMCT team interacted with the Revenue and Disaster management and Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) officials as a part of their scheduled field visit to Assam from May 26 to May 29, 2022 for damage assessment of recent flood and landslide in the State.

To accelerate an effective damage assessment, IMCT members will be divided into two groups for visiting the relevant affected districts. The first group will visit the Cachar and Dima Hasao districts on May 27 and May 28.


The second group of IMCT will visit the Darrang, Nagaon and Hojai districts on May 27 and May 28, 2022.
The death toll in pre monsoon flooding has reached to 30(25 in Flood & 5 in Landslide).
A total of 5,61,149 populations of 956 villages in 12 districts affected in flood in last 24 hours. Around 47139.12 hectares crop areas have been affected in flood in last 24 hours.295 relief camps and 70 relief distribution centres have been opened in all affected areas.
