The Enforcement Directorate (ED) recently carried out search operations at multiple locations linked to Indrajeet Singh Yadav, his associates and other connected entities in Delhi and nearby areas as part of a money laundering investigation. While the agency claimed it seized cash, valuables, vehicles, and property-related documents, Yadav has reportedly issued a statement rejecting these claims and said the agency did not recover even Rs 100 from his premises.

According to the ED, the searches were conducted in connection with an ongoing probe into alleged forced loan settlements and extortion. The agency claimed it seized around Rs 6.51 crore in cash, jewellery worth about Rs 17.4 crore, five luxury vehicles valued at Rs 8–9 crore, and documents linked to immovable properties estimated at nearly Rs 35 crore.

The ED said the alleged activities generated proceeds that were later routed through money laundering channels. It also claimed that after earlier searches by the Income Tax Department, Yadav left India and has been operating from abroad to avoid arrest. The agency said steps are being taken to bring him back to India for legal action.

Indrajeet Yadav rejects ED claims
As per a NBT report, Indrajeet Singh Yadav denied the ED’s claims and questioned the figures reported in the media. He said no cash or illegal material was seized during the searches and described the reports as speculative and misleading.

He said the ED carried out searches on Friday, December 26, at four locations. He said the searches were conducted calmly and followed legal procedure.

Rejecting reports of large recoveries, Yadav said, “Not even Rs 100 in cash was seized from my premises. Only two to three computer systems were taken as part of routine examination.” He said he is willing to make the panchnama public to remove any confusion.

Yadav said all his movable and immovable assets are fully declared and linked to his PAN. He said he acquired these assets through banking channels and duly recorded loans. He also said the Income Tax Department already has details of his financial transactions, as it conducted searches at his premises in January.

He said searches under Indian law do not establish guilt by themselves and that conclusions are drawn only after examining seized material and completing the due legal process. He added that he has faith in constitutional institutions and will cooperate with the investigation.
