Security in the Indo-Pacific, terrorism and extremism will be in focus as global intelligence chiefs meet for an annual conference hosted by India. The highest ranking member of the Trump administration - Tulsi Gabbard, director of national intelligence - is also attending the meeting.

The annual conference, which ends on Monday, brings together the heads of intelligence and security organisations from more than 20 countries and kicks off a hectic diplomatic week in the national capital that includes a meeting of a working ground on counter terrorism of ASEAN Plus nations and the annual Raisina Dialogue.

The intelligence conference, hosted by NSA Ajit Doval, also includes Canadian intelligence chief Daniel Rogers and Britain's MI6 chief Richard Moore. Other nations that are represented include Australia, Germany, Russia and Saudi Arabia. Bilateral meetings will also take place on the side, including one between Doval and Gabbard.

The security situation in Bangladesh is also on the agenda.
