India’s next Census scheduled for 2027, says Home Ministry
The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced that India’s next census will be conducted in 2027, with March 1 as the reference date. Snow-bound areas and Ladakh will follow an earlier date of October 1, 2026, and the process will be fully digital under strict data security.
