About Bannerghatta Biological Park
BBP was carved out of Bannerghatta National Park in 2004 and brought under the administration of the Zoo Authority of Karnataka. The park spans over 731.88 hectares and includes multiple units such as a zoo, safari, and butterfly park. Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) is located about 25 kilometers south of Bengaluru city. It comprises several units including the zoo, safari, butterfly park, and rescue center. The park is one of the major zoos in the state, with a focus on scientific development and conservation. It includes maintenance of enclosures for a variety of birds, reptiles, and mammals, safaris for tigers, lions, bears, and herbivores, breeding of endangered species, and rescue centers for animals from circuses and other places.Bannerghatta Biological Park Safari Timings
