India’s first response to Khamenei strike: Foreign Secy signs condolence book at Iranian Embassy
India has issued its first official response after Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in an airstrike linked to ongoing Israeli and US military operations. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri visited the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi and signed the condolence book on behalf of the Government of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also called for a swift end to hostilities, stressing that conflicts cannot be resolved through military confrontation as tensions escalate across West Asia.
