Delhi: Sikhs protest at UK High Commission over pulling down of Indian flag by Khalistanis in London
The Indian High Commission building in London now proudly displays a huge Tricolour after Khalistani supporters pulled down the national flag in protest against the crackdown on Amritpal Singh. The image of the massive flag covering India House has gone viral on social media, with users praising the move.

BJP's national spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill shared the photo on Twitter, calling on the UK Government to take action against those who attempted to disrespect the Indian flag. He also emphasized that the actions of a few individuals in the UK do not represent the patriotism of Punjab and Punjabis who have a history of serving and protecting the nation.

India was outraged by visuals of a Khalistani supporter pulling down the Indian national flag, which triggered strong reactions on social media. In response, a High Commission official was seen throwing out the Khalistan flag in a bold action that received widespread praise.

The External Affairs Ministry summoned British deputy high commissioner Christina Scott to demand an explanation for the "absence of security" at the high commission premises, calling the UK government's "indifference" to Indian diplomats and personnel "unacceptable."

UK Minister of State for Foreign Commonwealth & Development Affairs Lord Tariq Ahmed condemned the attack on the Indian High Commission in London in a tweet, calling it "completely unacceptable" and pledging to take the security of the mission and its staff seriously.
