Indians emerging triumphant after 2-year Agnipariksha: Times Group MD

New Delhi: The last two years have been very difficult for many, with the pandemic threatening lives and livelihoods in ways one could never have imagined, said Vineet Jain, managing director, Times Group.

"The fact that we are emerging triumphant from this agnipariksha is a testament to our collective determination and resilience," Jain said at the Times Now Amazing Indians Awards.

Leading English news channel Times Now Friday announced the winners of Amazing Indians awards, which celebrate and honour India's common people who have performed uncommon deeds for the improvement of society. Times Now is part of the Times Group, which publishes ET.


Over the past decade, more than 500 such exceptional individuals from all walks of life have been recognised on this platform, Jain said.

"We owe our Amazing Indians a deep debt of gratitude for going above and beyond in helping the less fortunate and for trying to make India and the world a better place for everyone," he said.

The Amazing Indians awards showcase real stories of real people who have looked adversity in the eye and not blinked, he said. "They have defied the most formidable odds and overcome the most difficult challenges," said Jain.

Across 12 categories, individuals who have exhibited true commitment to a cause and significantly impacted society have been honoured.
