In the world of automobiles, the Porsche 911 stands as an enduring icon, with a history spanning almost eight decades. Now in its eighth generation, this two-door 2+2 rear-engined sports car is available in India, starting at a staggering Rs 1.86 crore (ex-showroom), before any customization. But what if we told you that there's an Indian enthusiast who has painstakingly crafted a fully handmade Porsche 911 replica, powered by electricity?

Meet Rakesh Babu, known as 'sudus custom' on YouTube, with a substantial following of over 3.45 lakh subscribers. Rakesh Babu's inspiration for this unique project harks back to the first-generation Porsche 911, which graced the roads between 1964 and 1989. Painted in a striking yellow hue, this Porsche 911 replica has been meticulously crafted with a tin-sheet body and a metal pipe chassis. The fascinating twist? It's an electric vehicle, capable of covering around 30 kilometers on a single charge.

While Rakesh Babu's achievement is undoubtedly praiseworthy, it's important to note that this homemade replica is significantly smaller than the real Porsche 911. In fact, it might easily be mistaken for a toy car on the streets. Inside the custom-built Porsche 911, headroom is a concern. The limited space compelled Rakesh Babu to create an open roof, allowing him to fit inside comfortably. The interior is fairly basic, but the exterior craftsmanship is impressive, considering that the entire car has been constructed by hand.

One can't help but be amazed by the sight of the driver maneuvering the vehicle effortlessly, even with the car's roof seemingly obstructing the natural line of sight. However, it's important to understand that this Porsche 911 replica is more a work of art than a practical mode of transportation.
