Indian cricket team spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and wrestler Sangeeta Phogat recently stole the limelight at the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa wrap-up party with their playful interaction, which has since become a viral sensation on social media. In a video circulating online, Phogat is seen lifting Chahal on her back and playfully spinning him around, prompting Chahal to request her to stop as he felt dizzy. Notably, Chahal's wife, Dhanashree Verma, is currently a finalist in the dance reality show, and Chahal had previously urged fans to support her by voting.

The video, which circulated widely on social media platforms on Sunday, depicted an amusing scenario for Chahal as Phogat, who had been eliminated from the show a few days earlier, unexpectedly lifted and spun him around. Spectators erupted into laughter, witnessing this lighthearted exchange.

Meanwhile, several former India cricketers and experts have expressed surprise over Chahal's exclusion from the central contracts of the BCCI. "I am a bit surprised that Yuzi Chahal's name is not there. This is a validation of the theory. He might have had a ray of hope, but it wasn't to be. His name is not there," fomer Indian cricketer Chopra remarked on his YouTube channel.

The exclusion of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer from the central contracts also drew attention. Kishan, aged 25, did not participate in the Ranji Trophy despite not being on national duty since December. Instead, he focused on preparing for the upcoming IPL season. On the other hand, Iyer was omitted from Mumbai's Ranji quarterfinal against Baroda, although he has been selected for the Ranji semifinals starting March 2.

The BCCI's announcement saw skipper Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli retaining their positions in the top bracket of centrally-contracted players, as expected.
