'India will rise as a Vishwaguru': Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal after visiting BAPS Hindu mandir in Abu Dhabi

Bhavish Aggarwal, the Chief Executive Officer of Ola, recently paid a visit to the BAPS Hindu mandir in Abu Dhabi and shared his experience on X along with posting some pictures from his visit. His tweet garnered significant attention on the microblogging platform, sparking reactions from many users.

Expressing his sentiments, Aggarwal stated, "Humbled and honoured to be a part of the grand celebration at the Lotus of the Desert, the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi. It is a true symbol of spirituality and universal ethos of peace and harmony. Our ancient Indian traditions have always understood that you do not just seek peace, you are the peace. Our ethos has always been about being one with the universe or Brahman, of seeing the divine in everything."

He further articulated his belief in India's potential, asserting, "I am confident that India will rise as a Vishwaguru and will create a new paradigm of inclusive and harmonious development of the world. This is our dharma as young Indians, and as true Karmayogis, we will devote ourselves to it!"


The inauguration of the Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent two-day visit to the Gulf emirate marked a significant moment in the relations between the two countries. Modi emphasized the temple's role in strengthening the longstanding relationship between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).



Highlighting its potential to serve as a symbol of religious unity and global harmony, PM Modi said: "This temple has infused new energy into our age-old relationship."

The UAE hosts a substantial Indian expatriate community, numbering around 3.5 million, making it the largest expatriate population in the Gulf country. The majestic temple, constructed from pink stone and sprawling over 55,000 square meters, stands as the largest traditional stone-built Hindu temple in the Middle East.

The unveiling of the temple model during Modi's earlier visit to the UAE in February 2018 paved the way for the realization of this monumental project. Situated in Abu Mureikha, near the motorway to Dubai, the temple represents a significant addition to the religious landscape of the region, complementing the Hindu temple established in Dubai the previous year.
