The Government of India will grant Thai nationals a 30-day e-Tourist visa with double entry without charging a visa fee. The arrangement will remain in force until December 31, 2027, or until further orders.

“Government of India will grant 30 days e-Tourist visa with double entry on gratis basis to Thai nationals,” the notice said.

Thai nationals can apply for the e-Tourist visa through the official portal: indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html. The visa will be issued without any visa fee under the arrangement.


Indians can enter Thailand without a visa

The announcement comes as Indian passport holders also have visa-exempt access to Thailand for tourism.

Thailand has approved a 30-day visa exemption for Indian tourists. Earlier, Indian visitors could stay in Thailand for up to 60 days under the country’s visa-exemption scheme. Those planning to stay longer than 30 days can apply for an appropriate e-visa through Thailand’s official e-visa portal.

The revised Thai scheme will take effect after the relevant announcement is published in the Royal Gazette.
