New Delhi: India on Tuesday expressed its deep concern over the recent Israeli attacks on Doha and unequivocally condemned the violation of Qatar's sovereignty while stating that such actions threatened peace, stability and security, not only in the region but across the world.

Speaking at the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, India's Permanent Representative Arindam Bagchi said, "India is deeply concerned about the recent attacks in Doha, and their impact on the security situation in the region. We unequivocally condemn the violation of Qatar's sovereignty. Such actions threaten peace, stability, and security, not only in the region but across the world... As a close partner, India reiterates its solidarity with Qatar and its people."

Qatar is home to over 8,30,000 Indian nationals and is India's largest LNG supplier.
