India will soon submit proposals before the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) against three terrorists involved in attacks in India. They are believed to be hiding in Pakistan, said officials.

The three - Mohiuddin Aurangzeb Alamgir and Ali Kashif Jan, associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Yusuf Muzammil Bhat, member of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) - were involved in terrorist attacks including the 2019 Pulwama attack, 2016 Pathankot attack, 2008 Mumbai attacks, 2002 Akshardham attack, 2005 Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, attack and 2006 Mumbai train blasts, according to Indian agencies.

Investigation by National Investigation Agency has helped find digital evidence of their involvement, according to officials. The three were designated terrorists under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act between 2020 and 2022, they said.

Mohiuddin Aurangzeb Alamgir
Alamgir, 42, according to a dossier by NIA, has several aliases such as Ammar Alvi Maktab Ameer, Mujahid Bhai and Abu Ammar Madam. A resident of Bahawalpur, Punjab, in Pakistan, he is a senior leader of JeM and was allegedly involved in the Pulwama convoy attack of 2019. He looks after JeM's fund collection activities from Pakistani nationals and helps route funds to Kashmir, as per the NIA. He has been involved in facilitating infiltration of Afghan cadres and coordinating terrorist attacks on Indian security forces in J&K, as per the dossier.

Ali Kashif Jan
Ali Kashif Jan, alias Jan Ali Kashif, is a resident of Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to NIA. Jan is the operational commander and part of the core planning committee of JeM. He was allegedly the handler during the Pathankot Air Force Station attack. Jan operates from the JeM launching detachments located in Pakistan and is involved in recruitment of cadres for their training and coordinate attack plans at targets in India, said people privy to the probe.
