Addressing the CoWin Global Conclave, Modi said, “In line with India’s philosophy of considering the whole world as one family, the Covid vaccination platform CoWin is being prepared to be made open source. Soon, it will be available to any and all countries.”
The PM underlined that India has endeavoured to learn the best practices of other countries in combating this pandemic and is willing to share its experiences, expertise and resources with other nations.
PM Modi stressed on the role of technology in this battle and said software is one area in which there are no resource constraints. “That's why India made its Covid tracking and tracing App open source as soon as it was technically feasible,” he added.
Nearly 200 million people have used 'Aarogya Setu' app which is now readily available for developers.
