India recently concluded its G20 presidency and is a strong voice of Global South. Modi will bring the issues of Global South to the fore during his interventions at the G7 Summit being held at Apulia, Italy, ET has learnt.

The PM, while attending his 4th G7 Summit at Hiroshima in 2023, spoke at three plenary sessions.
On January 1, 2024, Italy assumed the G7 presidency for the seventh time. The 50th G7 Summit will be held from June 13 to 15, in Apulia, Italy. The Summit will bring together the leaders of the seven member states, and the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission representing the European Union.
In line with previous G7 Summits, a number of states and international organisations have also been invited by Italy in the Outreach Session. This will be India's 11th participation and PM Modi's 5th participation in the Outreach Session of G7 Summits.
