New Delhi: India and Russia are seeking closer collaboration in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), highlighting workforce development, technology partnerships and industrial collaboration as key pillars of future bilateral collaboration.

A brainstorming session here this week involving Russian and Indian industry experts underscored a shared interest in developing industrial capabilities alongside human capital, with participants highlighting manufacturing localisation, technology transfer and university-industry collaboration as key areas for future cooperation in UAS.

Agriculture, infrastructure monitoring and public services emerged as priority areas for India-Russia collaboration in UAS, according to persons familiar with the issue.

The session was organised by Synergy Corporation - a Russian EdTech firm which opened its India chapter last year with both countries seeking to step up high tech collaboration in EdTech, MedTech, UAV, AI and cyber applications.

The session was organized in partnership with Geoscan Group, one of Russia's leading UAS developers and an emerging player in space technologies, and New Delhi-based aviation and aerospace company Aviakul Private Limited.
