India Post goes digital

New Delhi In a modernisation drive to improve rural reach, India Post on Monday launched two cloud apps - Customer facing Dak Seva and employee-only Dak Mitra apps to offer postal services on the web.

Citizens can book parcels, check their savings and get insurance services under a single interface without visiting a post office. Communications minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said India Post is being modernised for the needs of the 21st century.
