The B20 summit is the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community.
The three-day summit was hosted by India from 25th to 27th August with the theme R.A.I.S.E – Responsible, Accelerated, Innovative, Sustainable and Equitable Businesses. It was attended by over 1,500 delegates from about 55 countries.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a keynote address on the last day of the summit.
PM Modi's address came in the context of India handing over the B20 presidency to Brazil, marking a transition in the leadership of this influential dialogue platform.
The aim of B20 is to deliver concrete actionable policy recommendations on priorities by each rotating presidency to spur economic growth and development.
The B20 bases its work on Task Forces (TFs) and Action Councils (ACs) entrusted to develop consensus-based policy recommendations to the G20 and to international organizations and institutions.
The B20 officially conveys its final recommendations to the G20 Presidency on the occasion of the B20 Summit.
