‘India must lead the world in creating future tech’: PM Modi on nuclear energy security at ESTIC

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC), highlighting India’s shift from adopting technologies developed elsewhere to creating solutions for India and the world. He cited progress in nuclear energy, space technology, artificial intelligence, semiconductors and battery storage, while stressing the need to strengthen India’s capabilities in critical technologies. Modi also highlighted the 500 MW Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor reaching first criticality, advances by Indian space startups and the growing role of young scientists and entrepreneurs in emerging technology sectors.
