India joins UK’s effort to open Strait of Hormuz, aids neighbours with fuel

India has joined UK-led talks to ensure safe transit through the Strait of Hormuz, even as it secures passage for ships carrying LNG and LPG. MEA says six Indian vessels have crossed safely. New Delhi is supplying fuel to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, while reviewing requests from Maldives, Nepal and Bhutan.
