New Delhi: India highlighted its commitment to secure migratory species at the ongoing COP 15 of Convention on Migratory Species (CMS) in Brazil, officials said on Tuesday.

"At ongoing COP15 of Convention on Migratory Species (CMS), India highlighted its commitment in securing migratory species and specifically stated the current stage of establishment of the Central Asian Flyway Initiative," the Environment Ministry said in a post on X.

"India thanked the CMS Secretariat for their efforts and support, and expressed appreciation to the Government of Brazil for hosting the meeting," it added.


The 15th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS COP15) is being held from March 23 to 29, in Campo Grande, Brazil.
