India condemns Pakistan airstrikes on Afghanistan for violating international law, UN charter

India has voiced its vehement opposition to the recent airstrikes targeting Afghanistan. During a session at the UN, India's envoy described these military actions as egregious violations of both international law and the UN Charter.

Pakistan airstrikes on Afghanistan violate international law, India says
New Delhi: India on Tuesday, without naming Pakistan, condemned recent airstrikes on Afghanistan, calling them "flagrant violations" of international law, the UN Charter and the principle of state sovereignty, even as Islamabad continued to target the neighbouring country through cross-border attacks.

Speaking at the UN, India's permanent representative P Harish said it was hypocritical to espouse high principles of international law and Islamic solidarity while mercilessly carrying out air strikes during the holy month of Ramadan that killed 185 civilians as of March 6, around 55% of whom are women and children, and displaced over a hundred thousand people. He referred to concerns highlighted in the UN Secretary-General's report about civilian casualties caused by violence.
