India committed to Bhutan's growth: EAM Jaishankar

Jaishankar held discussions with Bhutanese foreign minister Lyonpo DN Dhungyel and finance minister Lyonpo Lekey Dorji. During his visit, Jaishankar and Dhungyel jointly participated in several development initiatives. Jaishankar also handed over 43 pure line Jersey cows from India for Bhutan's dairy cattle breeding programme.
Following EAM's meeting with Dorji, phase-II of international UPI @UPI_NPCI for Bhutanese citizens visiting India was launched.

Meanwhile, Nepal's finance minister Swarnim Wagle held a meeting with finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Thursday. They discussed Nepal's post-flood reconstruction, trade and investment, cooperation in the energy sector and improving connectivity between the two countries.
The visit comes as Nepal evaluates the destruction from the catastrophic flash floods and initiates rebuilding efforts. Wagle is on a three-day trip to New Delhi at the invitation of the Indian government.
