In fratricidal killing, two Tripura State Rifles jawans shot dead

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb announced to give Rs 5 Lakh each to bereaved families and the family members would be provided government jobs under the die-in-harness scheme.

In a fratricidal killing, two Tripura State Rifles (TSR) jawans were killed in Tripura.

An official in the state government who does not want to be named told ET, “Rifleman Sukanta Das after an altercation fired upon Subedar Marka Singh Jamatia and Nayeb Subedar Kiran Jamatia. They were on duty at the ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) drilling site at Konaban".
