Raghu told Police that during his stay in Dubai he came across a dancer from Muzaffarpur, who used to perform in night clubs. He fell in love with her. The madness for the girl was such that he forced her to quit her nightclub dancer job, in return for which he agreed to accompany her to her hometown in Bihar. They both came to Bihar last year.

Indeed people do crazy things to please their loved ones. One such case has emerged in Bihar's Muzaffarpur, where an IITan quit his high-paying job in Dubai to become a thief to please his nightclub dancer girlfriend.

As per a TOI report, 40-year-old Hemant Kumar Raghu was arrested along with three accomplices this week for allegedly stealing Rs 2.2 lakh from a woman. Bihar Police said they seized some cash, arms, ammunition and two stolen bikes from the suspects. As per the report, Police said they nabbed Raghu, a resident of Ponneri police station area in Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu.

During the interrogation, he revealed that he worked with a multinational company in Dubai but quit the job after falling in love with his nightclub dancer.


Raghu told Police that during his stay in Dubai he came across a dancer from Muzaffarpur, who used to perform in night clubs. He fell in love with her. The madness for the girl was such that he forced her to quit her nightclub dancer job, in return for which he agreed to accompany her to her hometown in Bihar. They both came to Bihar last year.

Raghu told police that he turned to the world of crime after allegedly exhausting his entire savings to please her girlfriend. He told police that he worked in Dubai for 15 years.

Police said Raghu built a network with criminals in the district and would pick his targets with precise planning.
