"The Supreme Court has taken cognisance of the matter. If the Supreme Court is seized of a matter, it is not right for me as a minister to comment. But there is nothing for BJP to hide on the matter and nothing to be afraid of," Shah said in an interview to ANI released on Tuesday.
What kind of a speech Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wanted to deliver was up to him or his 'speech writers', Shah said on Gandhi's recent speech in the Lok Sabha, which highlighted the Hindenburg-Adani Group issue. "What speech he wants to give is for him or his speech writers to think." On Gandhi's allegations of 'crony capitalism' against BJP, Shah said, "there was no question. Nobody has been able to level such allegations against BJP till date. During their (Congress) era, agencies, be it CAG or CBI, registered cases, taking cognisance of corruption. There were scams of ₹12 lakh crore."
Asked about allegations of Congress and other opposition parties of BJP 'capturing institutions,' Shah said they should move court. "Courts are not under BJP control. Why don't they go to court? Even at the time when the Pegasus issue was raised, I had said go with the proof to court...They only know how to create noise. The court took cognisance of Pegasus after some people approached the court and it delivered its judgement after investigation," he said.
