India's premier health research institute is conducting a study on the sudden rise in cardiac events after Covid-19, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Wednesday.

He said that the Indian Council of Medical Research's (ICMR) has started the study and the results are expected in next two months. "We have seen incidents of sudden deaths due to heart attacks. I have had three meetings with the scientists on this issue and ICMR has started the study. The data on vaccination and comorbidity is with us," the health minister said at a summit on Wednesday.
