At IIT Roorkee convocation, NSA Ajit Doval recalls how his early Sikkim intelligence team ended up in "Chinese custody" due to defective maps, says he thought "I saw it as end of my career," and credits a Tibetan IB colleague for teaching him life's map-reading lesson: "know where you are, know where you want to go, and know the route."
