On the demand to ban PFI, Khan said, “I am in a position where certain things should be respected. I as Governor shouldn't demand things. I condemn any ideology of those who think violence can be used. There is no room for violence in India.”

The Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan said that he condemned any ideologies of those who think violence can be used and that there is no room for violence in India.

Khan who was in Guwahati to attend Lokmanthan 2022 – the four-day convention on Saturday when asked about the on Popular Front of India crackdown and pro Pakistan slogans told media persons, “Unfortunately, whatever has happened yesterday is simply lawless ness. Anybody taking law into their own hands is doing a disservice to the country. So many complaints against this organisation, certain ideology considers violence can be used legitimately. More than the government, society needs to be aware of these. Government needs to take firm action against them”.

In Assam as many as 11 PFI leaders were arrested as part of national crackdown on PFI.
