The Hyderabad Police later nabbed a software engineer in connection with the stolen Porsche Cayman 718, Times of India reported. According to the police, the suspect not only claimed ownership of the stolen vehicle but also resorted to a bizarre tactic by invoking the names of influential individuals, including a state cabinet minister, a prominent industrialist, and a well-known film actor, in an attempt to intimidate the police.
According to the police, the suspect stumbled upon the striking red Porsche parked at the hotel in Madhapur after coming to the hotel on a motorcycle. Finding the car's door to be unlocked, with the key placed inside, he couldn't resist the temptation to slide behind the wheel of the sports car and drive away in it. To make matters worse, the Jubilee Hills police department revealed that he had a history of criminal activities, making this incident part of a pattern of wrongdoing for him.
The subsequent investigation unfolded rapidly, with law enforcement swiftly locating the stolen Porsche as it roamed through the neighborhoods of Madhapur and Jubilee Hills. The authorities acted promptly, intercepting the vehicle at KBR Park Junction with the assistance of traffic police.
When the police nabbed him, he claimed that the Porsche belonged to him. The police later arrested him after finding the details from his motorcycle abandoned at the hotel. It was later learnt that Kiran had worked with top software firms in Hyderabad and had substantial income, making his inexplicable actions all the more confounding.
