Hyderabad school maid tramples and thrashes nursery girl; disturbing video triggers outrage among parents

A four-year-old nursery student was allegedly attacked by a female attendant inside a Hyderabad school, an incident that came to light after the child’s parents approached the police and claimed she had been harmed during school hours. Parents’ complaint sparks police action

According to a PTI report, the parents filed a formal complaint stating their daughter was physically assaulted while in school care. Police quickly registered a case and detained the staff member for questioning. Officials say they are examining all details, including what led to the alleged assault.

Disturbing video raises alarm

What turned a local complaint into a citywide shock was a disturbing video circulating online. The clip shows the attendant hitting the child, pushing her to the floor, banging her head multiple times, and even trampling on her. The video spread rapidly across social media, leaving residents, parents, and internet users horrified.

Parents allege deliberate assault

In their statement, the child’s parents said the attack was intentional and not an accident. They demanded strict action and tighter supervision inside the school so that young children are not left vulnerable. The PTI report said the family is seeking immediate accountability from both the school and the accused attendant.

Internal friction suspected

Investigators quoted in an NDTV report said the accused, Lakshmi, may have had ongoing friction with the child’s mother, who works at the same school. Officers believe the attendant was uneasy about the younger staff member and feared losing her job. This tension is now being examined as a possible reason behind the alleged assault.

Police confirm investigation is underway

A Jeedimetla police station official confirmed the case registration and said the woman remains in custody for questioning. “All relevant evidence, including the video and eyewitness accounts, is being examined,” he said.

Authorities are now reviewing the school’s monitoring systems to identify any lapses that allowed the incident to occur. Further investigation is underway, and police say appropriate legal action will follow once all findings are in place.
