Hyderabad has overtaken Bengaluru in IT job creation, claims IT minister KT Rama Rao

Hyderabad has outperformed Bengaluru in the creation of IT jobs over the past two years, according to IT minister KT Rama Rao. Speaking at an interactive session with industrialists, KTR stated that Telangana accounted for 44 per cent of the total IT jobs in the country this year, compared to 33 per cent last year. Official reports confirm that Hyderabad has contributed to the creation of 1.5 lakh jobs, while Bengaluru accounted for 1.46 lakh jobs. KTR attributed this success to the state's pro-industry policies and its ability to attract investments. He emphasized that the government prioritizes both development and welfare schemes.

Since the BRS came to power, the state's GSDP has increased, and Telangana has risen to the top in the country in terms of per capita income, claimed KTR. "Some individuals have criticised us, claiming that only KCR's family profited. If that's the case, why has per capita income increased from 1.24 lakh to 3.17 lakh?" he wondered.

"The BJP claims we are the Congress B-team, and the Congress claims we are the BJP B-team." Some question why BRS did not join INDIA or the NDA. "However, there are 13 parties that are not part of either the NDA or the INDIA bloc," he said.


Rythu Bandhu scheme to be limited in the next term
Responding to criticism that the Rythu Bandhu scheme benefits the wealthy, KTR stated that the party will consider limiting it to four acres in the next term. He also highlighted the fiscal prudence of the state government, asserting that all borrowings remained within the limits set by the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) Act. KTR compared the state's financial situation before and after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, stating that total borrowings increased from Rs 56 lakh crore to Rs 112 lakh crore under Modi's leadership. He further stated that Telangana's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) has increased and the state now leads the country in per capita income.
