Hurun Global Rich List 2025: Roshni Nadar climbs to fifth richest woman spot, first Indian in the list

Roshni Nadar, Chairperson of HCL Technologies, has been ranked fifth among the world’s richest women in the Hurun Global Rich List 2025, with a net worth of ₹3.5 lakh crore. She also holds the distinction of being the first Indian woman to enter the global top 10 wealthiest women, as noted in the report.

Roshni Nadar’s ascent in the rankings comes after her father, Shiv Nadar, strategically transferred a 47% stake in HCL Technologies to her. This transfer positions her as the sole woman among India’s Top 10 wealthiest individuals. Renowned for her leadership at HCL and her philanthropic efforts, Roshni has been leading the IT giant since 2020.

Roshni Nadar holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Northwestern University, Illinois, USA, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. She is a member of several prestigious global advisory boards, including the Dean’s Advisory Council at MIT School of Engineering and the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF). Additionally, she serves on the board of The Nature Conservancy (TNC), demonstrating her dedication to environmental sustainability.

Roshni Nadar is the daughter of HCL’s founder Shiv Nadar and is married to Shikhar Malhotra, Vice Chairman of HCL Healthcare.
