As per reports, people broke the security parameters set by the security forces at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
Uttar Pradesh police reportedly resorted to lathi charge to control the situation. Meanwhile, Barabanki Police have issued an advisory for devotees wanting to come to Ayodhya to not come due to overcrowding. Barabanki district falls between Lucknow and Ayodhya. Traffic towards Ayodhya has been diverted from Barabanki, about 30 km from Lucknow, and devotees travelling by foot were also stopped, police said. UP government has also issued another advisory to mediapersons to not stop the devotees on roads for media bytes.
Several videos of injured pilgrims being taken to hospital have also gone viral on social media. However, there has been no official information about any incident to injury at the Ram Temple.
