How to register yourself for COVID-19 vaccination on CoWin platform

As the CoWin platform will open for registrations for all 18+ citizens from April 28 amidst a rising tsunami of cases, let us look at the process to get yourself registered for the vaccine jab.

According to the government, the following features will be available for the Citizen in Self Registration module

• Register for a vaccination session (with a choice of registering additional 3 members)

• Selection of Vaccination center of convenience
• Schedule vaccination Date as per slot availability at a Center
• Reschedule Vaccination date

Here are some do's as well

• Register and schedule your vaccination appointment in advance
• Register online through CoWin
• Register against only one phone number and one proof of ID
• Carry ID proof when you go for vaccination
• Search for nearest vaccination centre online
• To receive Health ID as part of registration for vaccination, give your consent
• Reach Vaccination Centre on the specified date and time
• Wait for 30 minutes at the vaccination centre after vaccination
• Inform vaccination centre if any side effect(s) is experienced within 30 minutes
• Inform Helpline Number: +91-11-23978046 (Toll free- 1075) in case of any side effect after leaving vaccination centre
• Continue precautions of social distancing and wearing masks
