Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has partnered with New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to develop technology solutions for the airport's new terminal. The collaboration will focus on enhancing airport operations and improving the passenger experience through digital systems and IT services.

As the strategic technology and innovation partner to the New Terminal One, TCS will support the delivery of an intelligent, digitally-enabled guest experience at the new terminal, delivering cost efficiencies to airlines and transforming international travel at JFK, the largest global gateway to the United States.

What will TCS do?

The New Terminal One is a key part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's $19 billion redevelopment of JFK Airport, an ambitious project to transform the airport into a world-class international gateway. The overhaul includes two new terminals, the expansion and modernization of two existing terminals, a new ground transportation centre, and a redesigned road network to improve connectivity and passenger movement.

As part of the transformation, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will build the terminal's digital foundation, drawing on its expertise in managing complex technology systems and delivering personalised customer experiences. TCS will support critical technology functions across the terminal, including passenger processing systems, AI-powered IT operations, infrastructure management, enterprise application support, and cybersecurity.

Leveraging its Cognix™ and ignio™ platforms, TCS will help create a next-generation airport operations and passenger experience ecosystem. The platform will provide real-time visibility and proactive management of key airport functions, including passenger processing, baggage handling, and terminal security. The initiative is expected to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs for airlines, and deliver a smoother and more seamless travel experience for passengers.

Amit Bajaj, President – North America, TCS, said, "Airports are evolving into dynamic consumer ecosystems where operations, hospitality, retail, and personalization work together in real time. Our partnership with New Terminal One is about helping build that future. AI will facilitate a seamless and reliable passenger experience and help evolve New Terminal One into a state-of-the-art experiential zone that will attract global travelers and keep them engaged in exciting new ways.”
