How a Kanpur couple duped two dozen couples of Rs 35 crore with an Israeli 'Time Machine' that reverses age

A couple in Kanpur, Rajeev Dubey and his wife Rashmi, have been accused of deceiving more than two dozen couples by allegedly promising an "Israel-made time machine" that could reverse aging, scamming them of approximately Rs 35 crore. An FIR was filed by three victims, prompting local authorities to alert airports in a bid to prevent the couple from fleeing, a TOI report stated.

Therapy Centre Claims to Offer Youth Revival Through Oxygen Sessions

According to police, the couple operated a therapy center named Revival World in Kidwai Nagar. They enticed clients, primarily the elderly, with claims that Kanpur's high pollution levels were accelerating aging and that their "oxygen therapy" could reverse these effects. The therapy, they claimed, would make clients look younger in a short time.

ACP Anjali Vishwakarma revealed that each session was priced at Rs 90,000, with discounts for clients who referred others. "The couple also turned this into a pyramid scheme by offering discounts for referrals," the ACP stated.

Victim Claims to Have Introduced Multiple Clients

One of the complainants, Renu Singh Chandel, shared her experience with the scheme. Chandel stated that Rajeev and Rashmi had offered her a free session if she brought in another client. She eventually introduced several people to the therapy center. DCP (South) Ankita Sharma confirmed that there may be more than two dozen victims, and authorities are actively searching for the couple.

The investigation is ongoing as more details about the fraudulent operation are expected to emerge.
