How the staged raid was planned
Police said the woman carefully mapped out the operation before bringing in her close associates. Investigators found that she had shared detailed inside information about the household, including the number of residents and their daily routines. This helped the group arrive at the residence and pose convincingly as ED officials.Authorities said the group used this information to time the visit and create the appearance of an official search action.
What police recovered
During the investigation, police seized several items that pointed to a well-planned impersonation. These included:- Seven watches
- A deputy commandant’s uniform
- A fake identity card
- A pistol
- Jewellery
The incident came to light on February 11, after which police launched an investigation. Based on initial findings, officers traced the role of the domestic help and identified others involved in carrying out the fake raid.
Probe continues into wider conspiracy
Police have detained a few suspects and are questioning them to establish how widely the plan was spread and whether more people were involved. Officers said they are examining the full extent of the conspiracy and how the accused managed to assemble official-looking items. The investigation is ongoing.
