Himachal Pradesh: Fresh western disturbance likely; wet spell expected in high hills

The weather remained mainly dry in Himachal Pradesh over the past 24 hours since Saturday evening, with traces of snowfall in Koksar, 7.8 mm of rain in Kukumseri and traces of rain in Keylong.

Shimla: A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the western Himalayan region from April 23 onwards, and a wet spell is expected in mid and high hills on Monday, Friday and Saturday, according to the Shimla MeT office.

The weather remained mainly dry in Himachal Pradesh over the past 24 hours since Saturday evening, with traces of snowfall in Koksar, 7.8 mm of rain in Kukumseri and traces of rain in Keylong.

Kukumseri was the coldest at night, recording a minimum temperature of 0.4 degrees Celsius, while Una was the hottest during the day with a maximum temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius.


During the pre-monsoon season from March 1 to April 19, Himachal Pradesh received 154.5 mm of rain, compared to the normal rainfall of 156.8 mm, resulting in a one per cent deficit, the MeT said on Sunday.
