Here's why Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant picked Jamnagar as wedding location

Anant Ambani, son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant, daughter of industrialist Viren Merchant, are set to begin their wedding celebrations on March 1 in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The couple, who have been engaged since January last year, will tie the knot on July 12. Anant recently revealed that he chose Jamnagar as the wedding venue due to its significance in his family's history. "I have grown up here, and it's my good fortune that we could plan the celebration here," he said.

Inspired by PM Modi's Call to 'Wed in India'

Anant also mentioned being inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Wed in India' call. "It's a matter of pride and happiness when our PM said that one should get married in India," he said. The three-day celebrations will feature various themed events, showcasing a blend of tradition and modernity.


Themed Events and Celebrity Guests

The first day will be celebrated as 'An Evening in Everland,' where guests are expected to wear elegant cocktail attire. The second day will feature festivities at the Ambanis' animal rescue center in Jamnagar, themed 'A Walk on the Wildside,' with 'jungle fever' as the dress code.

This will be followed by 'Mela Rouge,' a potpourri of desi activities, with guests dressed in South Asian attires. The final day will witness events like 'Tusker Trails' and 'Hashtakshar,' where guests will enjoy the natural beauty of Jamnagar and dress in 'heritage Indian attire.'
